How we compare real estate agents We simply look at past sales data. This is valuable information to the next consumer in that area and maybe considering selling with that agent.

We ask real estate agents to supply us with sales data that we think is relevant to establishing who are the most active and productive sales agents for each individual area.

We also ask consumers to comment and rank the customer service they have received from the real estate agents in the past.

This is designed to give an indicator for future real estate sellers of which real estate agents provide the highest levels of customer service in any particular area.

We do not publish comments that are defamatory or insulting in any way.

At this stage we only post ratings from customers who have dealt with the real estate agents in the selling process.

We do this for two reasons .

1. To be sure that the comments or ratings are coming from consumers who are selling real estate as ultimately the agents fees are paid by these consumers, the real estate agents commission is generally deducted from the sellers end sale price.

2. To try and ensure to the best of our ability that the ratings and comments of consumers are fair and accurate for both the agent and the consumer.

We believe the best judge of that service is the customer who originally employed the agent to sell their property and has dealt with the agent right through to the completion of the sale.

What is the sales data that we compare

There are a number of things to consider when comparing real estate agents but we believe some of the most important factors to consider include: 1. Number of Sales people on team ; 2.Years in business, how long has real estate agency or agent been working in real estate ; 3. Average days on market till sale ; 4. Average price of property sold ; 5. Number of properties on the market ; 6. Number of web sites the agents are advertising on ; 7. Is the agent a member of the REI ; These factors are to be considered a guide and are relevant at the date the data was submitted.

Remembering we still recommend you do your own interviewing of the real estate agents to find the agent that suits your requirements best.
